In the latest University of Birmingham video analysis on the June 8 UK General Election, Mark Goodwin looks at the domestic issues in the campaign and considers the portrayal of “leadership” by the Conservative and Labour parties:

There are very contrasting approaches. For the Labour Party, it’s a constant stream of new policy initiatives and new ideas, whereas the Conservatives prefer to avoid the question of policy wherever possible and focus on what they believe is their strong suit — the question of leadership, competence, the character of Prime Minister Theresa May, and their position Brexit.
